TerraMaster: 1U 4-Bay U4-423 and 2U 8-Bay U8-423 Rackmount NAS With 2×2.5GbE Ports and Celeron Quad-Core Processor

TerraMaster Technology Co. Ltd. introduces the U4-423 and U8-423 rackmount storage servers designed for SMBs.

Both of them are equipped with a Jasper Lake Celeron quad-core processor and 2×2.5GbE interfaces that support Link Aggregation providing a network bandwidth of up to 5Gb/s.

They deliver up to 283MB/s transmission speed, a storage solution for businesses demanding performance storage at an affordable price. These NAS also feature comprehensive backup solutions and flexible configurations – supporting a selection of RAID types.

Performance
Compared to firm’s previous-generation rackmount servers, the U4-423 and U8-423 are equipped with an Celeron N5105/5095 quad-core processor with 2.0GHz and maximum turbo to 2.9GHz. Both are also configured with 4GB of DDR4 memory, upgradeable up to 32GB.

Higher transmission speed and flexible extension
The U4-423 and U8-423 are configured with 2x2.5 GbE interfaces, the transmission speed can reach 283MB/s (4xSeagate IronWolf 18TB, RAID-0). Link Aggregation provides a combined bandwidth of 5Gb/s, this provides a cost-effective solution for multi-user and high-concurrent file access. Furthermore, they have a dedicated M.2 slot for NVMe SSD to SSD caching to boost performance.

RAID support and file management support
They support a  selection of RAID types including Single, RAID-0, -1, -5, -6, -10. The U4-423 supports online capacity expansion and online migration of the RAID array. Both storage servers also support file services including SMB, AFP, SFTP/FTP, iSCSI, NFS, and WebDAV. This combination provides flexibility for different storage applications.

Virtualization storage solutions
The storage servers feature iSCSI. This allows the storage servers to support VMware vSphere and Windows Hyper-V virtualization storage solutions.

The U4-423 4-bay storage server and U8-423 8-bay storage server is available for $799.99 and $1,099.99, respectively.
