Icy Dock CP073 PCIe 4.0 Adapter Card for 2xM.2 NVMe SSD With Blower Fan and Aluminum Heatsink
Compatible with various NVMe sizes from 30 to 80mm in length, and up to 8,000MB/s transfer speed per drive slot
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on November 5, 2021 at 2:01 pmIcy Dock announced the CP073 PCIe adapter card for 2xM.2 NVMe SSD with a blower fan and an Aluminum heatsink.
The concept product CP073 is a dual M.2 NVMe SSD adapter for PCIe 4.0 x8/x16 expansion slot, accommodating 2xM.2 NVMe SSDs in a compact space with up to 8,000MB/s transfer speed per drive slot.
The removable drive tray is designed for a simple installation with the tool-less drive clamp that latches onto the M.2 drive to secure in place. In addition, the adjustable locker on the drive tray is compatible with various NVMe sizes ranging from 30 to 80mm in length (2230/2242/2260/2280).
Utilizing the PCIe 4.0 x4 interface provides power and data transfer simultaneously, reducing cable clutter in the system and supporting transfer speed up to 8,000MB/s per drive.
The CP073 is equipped with aluminum heatsinks, thermal pads, and a 50mm blower fan to maintain the operating temperature and prevent M.2 NVMe NVMe from overheating, which causes performance degradations.
Key features:
-
Fits 2xM.2 NVMe SSD (2230/2242/2260/2280) in a single x8/x16 PCIe expansion slot
-
Support PCIe 4.0 x8 with transfer speeds up to 8,000MB/s per drive slot
-
PCIe interface provides both power and data transfer which reduce cable clutter
-
Includes heatsink and thermal pad for maximum heat dissipation
-
Equipped with a 50mm blower fan provides maximum cooling to M.2 NVMe SSD
-
Drive activity lights indicate drive activities include overheating
-
Optional 4-pin header to connect chassis’ front LED to monitor drive activity
-
Honeycomb-like I/O panel for optimal passive cooling
-
Active Power Technology (APT) – LED and cooling fan only powers up when the drive is installed into the drive slot.
