Phison: Fiscal 3Q21 Financial Results

Phison Electronics Corp. announced its financial results for September 2021.

• September 2021 revenue totaled NT$5.738 billion (the highest in a single month in history), while accumulated revenue for January- September 2021 reached NT$45.724 billion, hit the record high for the same period in history.
• The firm will continue to strengthen R&D investment and maintain its leading position in the NAND controller, so that it can maintain steady growth in revenue and profit in the volatile NAND memory industry.

The total shipments of PCIe SSD controllers in September grew Y/Y by more than 42%; and the total shipments of industrial memory modules grew by 22%. They grew by nearly 128% Y/Y, a record high for the same period in history; the total annual growth rate of industrial memory module shipments is nearly 35%, and the annual cumulative total memory bits shipments (total Bits) also grew by nearly 45%, setting a new record for the same period in history.

September is the end of the third quarter. Due to its transformation, Phison continues to increase its revenue contribution from the non-Consumer application storage market. Therefore, even if there is a murmur of weak demand in the consumer retail market, the company still handed in a dazzling operating performance. Looking forward to the next quarter, driven by the popularization of 5G wireless high-speed transmission technology, the NAND storage market will maintain its growth potential without a ceiling.
