Parsec Labs Adds Cloud Replication and Restore

Parsec Labs announced the addition of cloud replication and restore to its standard replication solution.

Replicating data to the cloud can be an option for many companies requiring very short RTOs in the event of an outage. However, with existing solutions metadata and key information is lost when moving to the cloud. Restoring data then becomes a complex, labor-intensive effort.

With this announcement, the company makes replicating data to one or more clouds easy and also restoring it just as easy – Parsec copies and preserves all metadata: directories, and permissions so whenever data is retrieved or restored, everything an enterprise needs is intact. In addition, critical files can be retrieved immediately, even during a full restore.
