Zadara Federated Edge Program
To enable global on-demand edge cloud services and shared-revenue model
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on April 27, 2021 at 2:30 pmZadara, Inc. announced its Federated Edge program, designed to help MSPs win on a global scale.
Federated Edge is a consortium of MSPs, powered by Zadara’s Edge cloud services, including zCompute and zStorage. It introduces a managed, distributed cloud architecture that unlocks new use cases and revenue models made possible by edge computing without requiring investments in hardware, technology or human capital.
The infrastructure of the future demands agility and global coverage. The Federated Edge program enables a public edge cloud composed of hundreds of global MSPs and is designed to support modern Edge-specific workloads. Every MSP that becomes a member of the program will be able to deploy applications in hundreds of locations worldwide by leveraging other members’ infrastructure, creating new revenue streams and cross-selling capabilities, without the need to invest in a new data center or other physical facility. Powered by Zadara’s Edge Cloud Services, including zCompute and zStorage, Federated Edge Program gives MSPs the footprint, flexibility and competitive margins needed to compete and win.
“With their Federated Edge, Zadara is providing a lifeline for MSPs looking to boost their points of presence and deploy anywhere in the world the same way that they deploy in their own data centers,” noted Dave McCarthy, VP, cloud and edge infrastructure services, IDC. “Latency requirements, cost considerations, operational resiliency and security/compliance factors all contribute to the need to deploy infrastructure closer to where data is generated and consumed – at the edge of a networks’ reach, away from the centralized cloud.“
Opening New Doors
Federated Edge enables service providers to provision IT as-a-Service business solutions to customers as close as necessary to those customers’ workloads, through a shared revenue model. Joining the program requires zero up-front CapEx investment – The company provides all of the hardware and software required to get local edge clouds up and running. MSPs who join Federated Edge can realize new revenue from third-party customers who deploy in their data centers while getting paid by Zadara for the usage through the prigram model. Zadara’s Edge Cloud will soon power the largest federation of service provider locations in the world.
“We strive to be a true partner to MSPs, not just a technology provider,” noted Nelson Nahum, CEO. “We understand their unique challenges and have designed the Federated Edge program with their specific needs in mind. We’ve built a network that creates an ideal opportunity for MSPs to move into the next gen of edge workloads and stop missing out on new global opportunities. Our program harnesses the collective power of MSPs, where the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.“
Benefits of Becoming a Zadara Federated Edge Operator
- Create new revenue streams with zero CapEx risk: Gain instant global scale without the need to build new data centers, form individual partnerships or deploy to a colocation facility in new regions based on ever-changing customer needs. All global infrastructure is provided and available on-demand via the Federated Edge network powered by Zadara’s Edge Cloud technology. Operators pay only for usage.
- Deliver new global products and services: Leverage access to the largest federation of hosting service provider locations to host location-sensitive workloads.
