Qnap QuWAN vRouter Supports Connecting VMware ESXi Platforms and Servers to SD-WAN

Qnap Systems, Inc. announced QuWAN vRouter, an SD-WAN virtual router that supports VMware ESXi platforms and servers.

The subscription-based QuWAN vRouter is available with many tiers, from a free basic solution to high-bandwidth solutions for users to upgrade to SD-WAN infrastructure at an affordable price point. Besides the QuWAN SD-WAN features of Auto Mesh IPsec VPN and WAN optimization, it provides Zero Touch Provisioning via cloud and central management over VMs on virtualization platforms, assisting businesses in building a efficient and secure multi-site IT deployment and management solution.

Besides the QuWAN SD-WAN features of Auto Mesh VPN, firewalls, WAN optimization technology and cloud management, QuWAN vRouter supports the VMware ESXi virtualization platform and servers to offer multi-site network deployment and optimization. To help businesses minimize multi-site IT staffing requirements by achieving Zero Touch Provisioning, QuWAN vRouter uses an online deployment process where HQs-based IT staff can purchase licenses on the the company’s software store, dispatch these licenses, and set up SD-WAN in QuWAN Orchestrator to send branch staff Join keys for installation via email. The router also enables network traffic analysis and control over the VMs on VMware ESXi platforms to help evaluate the allocation of network and security resources.

It offers flexible and affordable annual subscriptions – including a basic 15Mb/s solution for free, and 30Mb/s to 1G/ps premium solutions starting from $7.99 per year.

It enables third-party virtualization platforms and servers to be connected to SD-WAN with a range of the company’s QuWAN solutions to fit various needs for businesses, organizations, and enterprises.
