History (1995): Hyundai Man Dr. C.S. Park at Head of Maxtor

By Jean Jacques Maleval | February 23, 2021 at 2:37 pmIn an attempt to pull Maxtor (San Jose, CA) up from its quickly spiraling losses, Korean company, Hyundai, 40% shareholder of the Californian HDD manufacturer, has replaced its president and CEO.
Dr. C.S. Park, 47, previously corporate executive VP of Hyundai Electronics, will take over from J. Larry Smart, “who has resigned to pursue other interests,” according to a Maxtor press release.
