History (1994): Kim Edwards President and CEO, Iomega

Succeeding Fred Wenninger

Kim Edwards IomegaIomega Corp. (Roy, UT) announced the appointment of Kim B. Edwards as president and CEO, effective January 1994, succeeding Fred Wenninger who served as CEO from May 1989 to October 1993.

 

 

Edwards was president and CEO of Gates Energy Products, Inc. since 1992, and prior to 1992 served for over 5 years in various executive positions in that company. Formerly, he was employed for over 18 years at General Electric, where his last position was manager of marketing and sales of Battery Division, prior to its sale to Gates in 1984.

Iomega also disclosed the death of its VP marketing Barbra P. Krumland, 40.

At the beginning of January, Iomega said it had restructured its operations eliminating 50 positions corporate wide, which represents about 8% of its workforce.

The company expects to record a loss from operations for Q4 ended December 31.
