VAD Prodata and Unitrends in Partnership
To provide backup, DR solutions into South Africa

The partnership is Unitrends’ first in South Africa and will build on Prodata’s experience of bringing fast-growing enterprise technology to the African market through its channel partner network.
Unitrends backup appliances and cloud data protection automates manual tasks, eliminates management complexity and delivers tested hardware and software resilience. It provides enterprises with a single solution combining protection for physical, virtual and SaaS environments with ransomware detection, self-healing backups and dark Web monitoring.
Bringing this technology to partners across Africa, with a core focus on sub-Saharan Africa, the two partners are engaging more proactively with existing partners and establishing new partnerships with VARs in this market. The backup and recovery market size is expected to grow from $7.13 billion in 2017 to $11.59 billion by 2022, at a CAGR of 10.2% during the forecast period, with a substantial portion of this being in the emerging African market (Source – Research and Markets).
The partnership will aim to address growing demand for data protection solutions in the region.
