Organizations around the globe have an even more powerful ally to secure and protect their valuable data.
That’s because today DeviceLock forces with Acronis, becoming a wholly-owned subsidiary of the leader in cyber protection solutions.
Businesses will benefit from the synergy of this merger as it enables us to accelerate product innovation, expand our distribution channel, and leverage our existing technology to meet the needs of customers in every industry.
Shared mission of protection
Today, I’m pleased to announce that DeviceLock is joining forces with Acronis, and that we will become a wholly-owned subsidiary.
When I founded DeviceLock in 1996, there was a very real need for professional-grade endpoint protection in the greater market. Thanks to the dedicated work of our employees and the vision of the leadership team, we’ve grown into a clear leader in endpoint data loss prevention (DLP), with over 5,000 corporate customers protecting more than 4 million endpoints using our solutions. Banks and hospitals, government agencies and military networks, manufacturers, and retailers – they all rely on DeviceLock’s software to keep their data safe and meet compliance requirements.
The 2 companies are united by the shared mission of providing data security and privacy to organizations around the world. For 16 years, Acronis has been in data protection, introducing multiple technologies that have reshaped the industry.
Acronis integrates both an AI-based anti-ransomware defense and a blockchain-based data notarization into its business backup solutions.
Today, a community of more than 50,000 IT channel partners and more than 500,000 businesses in 150 countries around the world rely on Acronis Cyber Protection Solutions to ensure the safety, accessibility, privacy, authenticity, and security of their data, applications, and systems in any environment.
Protecting more users worldwide
As a result of this merger, DeviceLock customers will benefit from Acronis’ portfolio of cyber protection solutions. As our technology is integrated into the Acronis Cyber Platform, the community of developers, ISVs, and MSPs will create new services and solutions. The endpoint security that DeviceLock DLP delivers will function alongside Acronis’ backup and DR capabilities, AI-based defenses vs. cyberthreats, and a vast array of partner-developed integrations – all accessible from a single pane of glass.
With the knowledge gained from nearly a quarter century of experience providing device control and endpoint data leak prevention solutions, DeviceLock estimates that this acquisition will protect millions more users and ensure secure and reliable data protection deployments worldwide.
Continued commitment
While DeviceLock will now operate under the Acronis name, our mission and our commitment to all of our customers and partners remain the same. The biggest difference is now there are greater resources and a stronger infrastructure available to address the needs of our customers and solve meaningful problems.
My commitment to our customers remains as well, which is why I’ll continue my work on DLP solutions as Acronis VP data leak prevention vs. data loss prevention.
