IBM Copy Services Manager 6.2.9 delivers replication management with simplified and automated replication tasks

Copy Services Manager is a replication management solution that delivers central control of replication environment while helping to simplify and automate complex replication tasks.

With it, you can coordinate copy services on a variety of IBM Storage Systems, including DS8000, SAN Volume Controller (SVC), Storwize V7000, FlashSystem A9000 and A9000R, and XIV.

You can help prevent errors and increase system continuity using source and target volume matching, site awareness, DR testing, and standby management.

Copy Services Manager 6.2.9 offers following improvements over previously announced release:

Safeguarded Copy:
- Backup capacity dynamic expansion
- Document server memory requirements
- Recover the latest backup with automatic backup
- Query for cache scan completion
- Persistent copy on recover relationship
- Additional enhancements
Write messages to z/OS syslog
View server topology to see session dependencies and intersections
Support -force and -keeponhw options in importcsv CLI command
Support disabling Metro Mirror mode on sessions that should only run Global Copy
Support a Stop on Drained command for automating the suspension of replication once all data has been copied
Correct failure message, if csmadmin-user expires on attached DS8000
Support allowing a session to display normal status when in Global Copy mode
Provide warning on Metro Mirror relationships when only a single logical path is established
Added option for FlashCopy session to assimilate the FlashCopy relationships on the DS8000
