NetJapan Changes Name to Actiphy

On July 1st, 2020 NetJapan, Inc. becomes Actiphy, Inc.

The new name is a portmanteau of the words active and rectify. Active meaning “engaged in progress, motion or action” and rectify meaning to “set right or make correct.“

The Actiphy_logo color, “Fireman” red, is associated with rescue and DR.

Firm’s backup, DR, and virtualization technology, has been a software solution for nearly a quarter century. In changing its name to Actiphy, the company will expand its sales network with a renewed focus on global markets.

Background
Founded in 1996, NetJapan began developing and distributing an image-based backup software solution. Since that time, it has introduced a number of technologies to the Japanese markets. Its flagship product, ActiveImage Protector has since become a major backup and DR solution in the markets.

As the use of big data accelerates, networks evolve, malware proliferates, AI, and IoT technologies emerge, the value of backup and recovery increases. By taking advantage of its range of technologies, the firm will continue to innovate upon our existing data protection solutions.

As it continues to take on new challenges in the development of one-of-a-kind technologies to make a difference in the world, it wants its new company name, Actiphy, to reflect its determination to remain “Swift, Active and Reliable“.
