Steve Coad Country Manager for Australia and New Zealand, Cohesity

Cohesity, Inc. has appointedSteve Coad as country manager for Australia and New Zealand.

Based in Melbourne, Australia, he will be responsible for accelerating adoption of the company’s software that empowers enterprises to back up, manage, and extract value from their data across on-premises, cloud, and edge environments. He will also work with local channel partners to deliver rich data management solutions to enterprises across Australia and New Zealand.

He is an industry veteran with more than 25 years of sales management and leadership experience. During this time, he was responsible for establishing market entry for new companies and products as well as accelerated regional sales momentum across the AsiaPac region for companies including Cisco, EMC, VMware, Aruba Networks, Good Technology, and IBM.

Most recently, he was MD for Australia and New Zealand for Big Switch Networks during which time he drove the company’s regional business strategy for growth and oversaw channel partner growth. Prior, he worked for 5 years at Aruba Networks, initially as MD for Australia and New Zealand and subsequently as MD, South Pacific upon the company’s acquisition by HPE.

He also previously assumed senior regional leadership positions at Cisco, including country manager for New Zealand, sales director for the company’s service provider business in China, and director of customer advocacy in South Asia, Australia, and New Zealand. He was also GM for South Asia for EMC and worked as director of enterprise sales, Australia, for VMware.
