2020 Board of Directors of SCSI Trade Association

Cameron Brett, Kioxia America, re-elected president

The SCSI Trade Association (STA), an authority on SAS technology used in storage interconnects, announced its 2020 board of directors.

Representing many companies in the storage industry, 4 officers and 3 directors-at-large have been elected to serve a one-year term. They are charged with developing strategic marketing programs that support the work of the INCITShttp://www.incits.org/ T10 Technical Committee and are designed to educate the industry of SAS in the marketplace.
 
Scsi Trade Association BrettCameron T. Brett, director of enterprise marketing at Kioxia America, Inc., was re-elected for a second term as STA president.

 

 

Alexandra Haser, senior industry standards engineer, Molex, joins the board as secretary, a position previously held by Greg McSorley, technical business development manager, Amphenol, who rejoins the board as director at-large.

All other 2020 board members remain in the same position they held in the 2019 roster.
 
SAS technology addresses a very large and continuously growing market, natively supporting many host connections to potentially thousands of target devices in a single topology,” said Brett. “SAS is undergoing an evolution, transitioning to 24Gb SAS in 2020, implementing new features and enhancements to reach new application performance levels.”
 
The STA’s executive officers and board of directors for the 2020 term are:

• President: Cameron T. Brett, director of marketing, enterprise SSD outbound marketing and communications, Kioxia America, Inc.
• VP: Jeremiah Tussey, alliances manager, product marketing, data center solutions, Microchip Technology Inc.
• Secretary: Alex Haser, senior industry standards engineer, Molex
• Treasurer: Chet Mercado, technical marketing engineer/third party alliance, Western Digital Corporation
 
Directors At-Large:
• Rick Kutcipal, market segment lead, RAID, storage division, Broadcom Inc.
• Greg McSorley, technical business development manager, Amphenol Corp.
• Mike Miller, executive director, advanced development, Seagate Technology PLC
 
Ex-Officio Member:
• David So, SCSI Trade Association, executive director
 
One thing that continues to be clear is the staying power of SAS,” said Don Jeanette, VP, storage market intelligence, Trendfocus. “SAS has set the bar in the storage industry with inherent scalability and flexibility in modern data center, server and storage topologies.”
