Asustor 8-Bay Lockerstor-8 and 10-Bay Lockerstor-10 Desktop NAS With Atom Quad-Core Processors

Asustor Inc. unveils the newest line of business NAS devices: Eight-bay Lockerstor-8 and ten-bay Lockerstor-10.

These NAS devices feature Intel Corp.‘s Denverton-based Atom Quad-Core processors. They provides faster transfer speeds with the two 10Gb ports and two Realtek 2.5Gb ports. This series also feature an intelligent fan control as well as an improved fan design, which contributes to an optimal airflow solution, ensuring all components get the best cooling as well as the est performance. For more performance, combine the dual 10Gb ports on a managed switch up to double the performance of 10Gb.

The Lockerstor provides enterprises with a flexible device, which is configurable to the enterprise’s needs. Along with 8 and 10 bays, it also features dual M.2 SSD slots for caching, which help HDDs exceed their maximum speeds without sacrificing capacity and expense. Each M.2 slot supports NVMe and AHCI to maximum compatibility as well as supporting various lengths of M.2 cards. The M.2 slots in the Lockerstor-8 and 10 also feature thumbscrews to make installation easier. These NAS feature 8GB of DDR4 SO-DIMM RAM and up to 32GB. The use of DDR4 RAM, compared with the DDR3 helps the Lockerstor-8 and 10 save up to 40% more power, while also increasing performance by 30%.

The Lockerstor has access to the company’s App Central, which provides more than200 apps on ADM 3.4, including, but not limited to commercial and office applications, website building, forum management, virtualization and digital learning. The Lockerstor-8 and 10 make a backup solution that protects data by allowing a number of login errors to be set, 2-step verification settings and automatic blacklists that helps prevent malicious attacks and reducing risk. These NAS also incorporate enterprise software and hardware compatible with VMware, Citrix, and Hyper-V storage environments. By supporting iSCSI/IP-SAN and NFS, these NAS integrate existing IT environments to provide a cost-effective storage solution.
