Replacing Roger Marino becoming vice chairman

Marino has the new position of vice chairman.
EMC reported a $3.6 million loss in the quarter ended September 30. The nine-month loss was $11.0 million despite a 15% increase in revenue, from $28.9 to $33.3 million.

Editor’s note: Ruettgers has been a director of EMC since 2000. He served in various positions from 1988 until 2005. He served as chairman from January 2004 to December 2005. From his retirement as CEO in 2001 until 2004, he served as executive chairman. He served as CEO from 1992 to 2001 and as president from 1989 to 2000. He also served as executive VP for operations from 1988 to 1989 and COO from 1989 to 1992. Currently, he is also on the board of directors of Wolfson Microelectronics plc, where he serves as non-executive chairman, Gigamon, Inc., and Orvis Company.
