“FC SAN are generally closed network environments that often require costly devices with limited deployment flexibility to set up,” said Jason Hsu, product manager, Qnap, adding “By integrating Qnap NAS protocols with FC, users can add Qnap NAS to their existing FC SAN environment more affordably than with SAN devices, while satisfying applications that require low latency, high reliability, and fast data transfers, such as in financial services, data centers, and film or television industries.“

Users can install a company’s FC expansion card into a firm NAS’s PCIe slot and then configure a FC target using the QTS iSCSI and FC app, while leveraging QTS’s business features, including LUN snapshot protection, auto-tiering (Qtier), SSD cache acceleration, hybrid cloud backup solution (HBS), and more to make storage applications more efficient. The company’s NAS performs as a unified storage solution that provides SAN, NAS, and cloud storage features with cost-effectiveness and application flexibility.
The firm’s FC expansion cards support company’s NAS running on QTS 4.4.1 (or later) OS. FC SAN solution and its compatibility list.
These FC expansion cards are available on the company’s accessories store.
