Compliance Suite All-in-One Hot-Plug Testing Program From Quarch Technology
For automated testing of removable host/drive systems
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on October 4, 2019 at 2:14 pmQuarch Technology Ltd. released an all-in-one hot-plug testing program: the Quarch Compliance Suite (QCS).
Qualifying storage system to industry standards has never been quicker or easier.
Manual hot-swap or power testing for storage devices has always been a headache, costing time and money. The company’s tools sit between the host system and the device under test, offering simple automation options to perform all the same test functions and more – without human intervention.
QCS is the latest of their line of automated testing solutions, which – unlike previous the company’s programs, which control individual aspects of testing and require some level of experience to script tests – offers a complete package that both runs the tests and records the results.
User-friendly, QCS is suitable for those with any level of experience.
For those who want to perform a range of tests without the need for specialist knowledge or custom scripting, it is based on a cross-platform Java/Python implementation, tests can be run at the touch of a button. Results are displayed in real-time, allowing to see any problems right away.
The software currently offers UNH-IOL plugfest test suites for both SAS and NVMe devices, although the firm aims to introduce a variety of further tests – such as power analysis – later in the year. Regular updates will be added in due course, based on the company’s 10+ years of experience in automated testing and their knowledge of the most common failure scenarios.
