SK hynix: Gold S31 6Gb SATA 2.5-Inch SSD Up to 1TB SSD With 3D NAND Flash

SK hynix Inc. launches its Gold S31 SSD.

Gold S31 (6Gb SATA – first generation) is the first of the company’s SuperCore series of consumer SSDs, an internal drive lineup based on the firm’s core technology.

With its speed and reliability, it will be a choice for PC users, particularly for gamers, designers, and content creators. It pushes the limits on performance SSDs, providing users the next level of speed with sequential read speeds up to 560MB/s, as well as reliability, and 5-year warranty.

The 2.5-inch drive supports the 6Gb SATA interface based on 3D NAND flash technology, and is available in 1TB, 500 and 250GB capacities on Amazon US.

All components in Gold S31, from NAND flash and built-in controller to DRAM and firmware, were designed and produced by SK hynix. The in-house components are built for performance and reliability.

It will be offered exclusively on Amazon US this year, but is expected to expand to other North American and European markets starting next year, when a PCIe version of the SSD can also be expected.
