Buffalo Remote Management Service for Network Storage Solutions

This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on August 15, 2019 at 2:33 pmBuffalo Americas, Inc., is announcing the Remote Management Service (RMS) utility tool for TeraStation 3010 and 5010 products, the business line of our NAS solutions.
This feature will be provided free of charge to North American solution providers in the Fall of 2019 and continues company’s commitment to the customer first initiative.
RMS provides improved device management capabilities. Solution providers will have the ability to manage multiple TeraStations from a single console. Device management capabilities include system component health monitoring (including HDDs), device error notifications, remote device restart/shutdown, etc. RMS allows service providers to create a detailed list of managed systems, available by recording system data such as device usage capacity, firmware version, uptime status, information regarding maintenance contracts, and system warranty details.
Solution providers can also save system settings in a setting backup feature, which allows to save a copy of a TeraStation’s current users, groups, and shared folder settings.
As with TeraStation Network Storage Solutions, RMS users have access to firm’s 24×7 US-based technical support.
RMS will be available via free a firmware update to North American solution providers in the Fall of 2019.
