Ranga Rajagopalan VP Product Management, Commvault

Commvault Systems, Inc. announced Ranga Rajagopalan as VP of product management, reporting to chief product officer Rajiv Kottomtharayil.

He will manage end-to-end software design services for Commvault’s suite of data management and data protection solutions, including Complete Backup and Recovery, HyperScale, Orchestrate and Activate.

“With deep experience leading product management and engineering teams across the entire lifecycle of data protection and DR products, Ranga is the ideal person to head our product teams through our ongoing transformation to hybrid cloud solutions,” said Kottomtharayil. “We are thrilled to have him and look forward to collaborating across Commvault to shape the future of our product strategy.“

Prior to joining Commvault, Rajagopalan held multiple positions at Dell EMC, including senior director of strategy and operations for Dell EMC’s data protection division, where he managed business strategy, planning and operations. He also led product management for Dell EMC’s data protection appliances, including Data Domain and IDPA. Before that, he was the director of product management at Veritas Technologies LLC and Violin Memory after multiple positions at Symantec, HP, and DSQ Software.
