NAB: Spectra Logic BlackPearl Converged Storage Platform Enhancements With Addition of RioBroker V1.01.

Spectra Logic Corp. enhanced its BlackPearl converged storage platform with the addition of its RioBroker version 1.01.

RioBroker acts as a data mover to speed file transfers, streamline workflows and scale out BlackPearl in both performance and capacity to accommodate growing amounts of digital assets. As a software front-end to BlackPearl, an object storage platform that moves content economically into disk, tape and cloud, RioBroker offloads the data transfer job from the application to the RioBroker system. This brings performance, parallelism, scalability, ease of implementation and consistency to the platform. It also simplifies the integration process to asset management software applications by providing Partial File Recall and FTP capabilities.

Expanding certified client portfolio
The BlackPearl ecosystem grew with certified clients, including Imagine Communications Corp.‘ Nexio Motion and Tiger Technology‘s Tiger Bridge. Additional integrations are completed for axle ai, Inc., Glookast and Marquis Broadcast‘ Postflux for Adobe Premiere.

The company also expanded its broad Avid Technology, Inc. environment support to include integration with MediaCentral Cloud UX platform, which has increased performance for all Avid integrations. Through key partnerships and its Developer Programme, the firm continues to deliver storage solutions that help media and entertainment customers accelerate production and optimise digital content for the long term.
