Cyber Power Systems PowerPanel Business Edition Software Now Nutanix Ready

Cyber Power Systems Inc. announced the release of its PowerPanel Business Edition software, which provides advanced power management for uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems and network-connected power distribution units (PDU).

Certified as Nutanix ready, this release is compatible with the Nutanix, Inc.‘s cloud software and hyperconverged infrastructure platform. Together, PowerPanel Business Edition Software v3.4 and Nutanix help deliver end-to-end solutions for power management of the Nutanix cloud platform. The software allows IT administrators and MSPs to manage and monitor UPS systems and PDUs while automating shutdowns of Nutanix nodes in response to power events.

CyberPower delivers a cost-effective, reliable power management solution to Nutanix customers using stand-alone Nutanix appliances as well as hybrid cloud infrastructures with the presence of VMware and Microsoft virtual clusters with multiple configuration options.

PowerPanel Business Edition v3.4 software facilitates shutdowns in physical and virtual environments to reduce data corruption and loss, while minimizing downtime during extended power events.

Features include:

• Out-of-the-box, configurable automated shutdown sequence allows IT professionals to protect their virtual environments from data loss or corruption.

• Provides configurable controls to provide load shedding during outages which extends battery backup runtime.

• Ability to deliver alerts of power events and conditions for enhanced manageability to keep critical operations online.

• Monitors UPS vitals, logs power events and statuses.

In addition to Nutanix, CyberPower Business Edition software is compatible with many OSs including Citrix, Linux, Mac, VMware and Windows.
