Replaced by TeraStation 5010 series, specifically 12-bay rackmount TS51210RH
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on January 24, 2019 at 2:07 pmBuffalo Americas, Inc. announces the TeraStation 7000 family of NAS entered the end of life phase of its life cycle.
The successor to the TS7000 series is the new TeraStation 5010 series, specifically the 12-bay rackmount TS51210RH model.
The TS51210RH comes with HDDs included and offers greater performance than the TS7000 as they are designed to run simultaneous concurrent services (such as virtualized server backups) with minimal performance degradation, for organizations looking to add an affordable virtualized storage to their business network.
The TS51210RH is available in partially-populated options, allowing these 12-bay devices to be shipped with either 12 or 4 enterprise-grade HDDs included. These partially populated models allow users to purchase storage at a lower price to fit their needs while planning for tomorrow’s growth.
The TS51210RH is a NAS solution for SMBs as they move data at high speeds and eliminate the bottlenecks that can occur on slower networks. TS51210RH users enjoy hardware features such as dual native 10GbE NICs that are backwards compatible to 5GbE, 2.5GbE, and 1GbE with fan and rail kit included. Optional redundant power supplies are also available.
When registered within 90 days of purchase, the TS51210RH receives a 5-year US-based warranty support. When registered within their original warranty period, they also qualify for Buffalo’s Data Recovery Service for logical data loss. These products can be registered at www.buffaloamericas.com/registernow.
The TS7000 series are officially end of life. The original warranty and technical support provided with this product family will remain the same, with assistance available after the actual official announcement date.
