This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on August 30, 2016 at 3:03 pmZerto Ltd., whose DR solutions provide ‘Resilience for Evolving IT’, doubled the business in 1H16 as compared to 1H15, a trend that continues for the fifth consecutive year.
Sales growth is supported by its culture, BC and DR product innovations, financing rounds and strategic new hires.
Zerto has also made gains in government, healthcare and financial services verticals.
The following highlights are elements to Zerto’s success in 1H16:
Awards and Accolades
Recognised as one of the IT channel’s most effective CEOs, Zerto founder and CEO Ziv Kedem was recently named to CRN’s 2016 Top 100 Executives in the Innovator category. He was honoured for being a technology leader who is creating new opportunities and forging innovative routes to success. Additionally, the company received a 2016 Boston Business Journal Best Places to Work award (#6), based on an exemplary culture noted in survey responses from employees.
“At Zerto we’re laser-focused on ensuring customers’ critical operations are maintained, regardless of the type of outage,” Ziv Kedem. “Receiving recognition for both the company culture we’re so proud of and the hard work we’ve put in on our channel program points to the soundness of our strategy: a renewed focus on IT resiliency, global expansion and, most importantly, our commitment to be 100% channel-focused.“
Secured $70 million in growth financing
In addition to strong sales growth, Zerto also raised $50 million in funding in the first quarter, led by IVP. In Q2 of this year, it secured an additional $20 million in Series E1 financing, led by CRV. The latest rounds validate Zerto’s performance particularly within the expanding cloud computing industry with the BC/DR software segment playing an increasingly critical role in companies’ cloud strategies.
New Products with Availability of Virtual Replication version 4.5
The software release introduced in the first half of 2016 helps business leaders achieve IT resilience by helping to recover from ransomware attacks. The new Journal File Level Recovery feature enables restoration of any file or folder from any point in time within the lasts before accidental deletion, virus or data corruption occurred.
ZertoCON BC Conference
In May, nearly 400 attendees converged for the IT industry’s next generation BC/DR conference, ZertoCON. The event hosted executives, leaders and IT professionals from a range of industries and organisations to discuss building confidence in IT with the goal of moving businesses forward.
Strategic New Hires
With an intense concentration on maintaining growth and building Zerto’s strong presence in the channel, Zerto has increased its employee count by over 50% in the past six months, including the executive team appointment of Rob Strechay as VP of product management in January 2016 and Jason Cowie in June 2016 as Zerto’s senior director of global partner and channel sales.
Vertical and Geo Expansions
Thanks to innovations in the BC/DR space, as well as its commitment to the channel, the company is expanding in key vertical areas and regions around the world. In addition to more than quadrupling revenue in government markets, the firm also grew its footprint in financial services and healthcare space. This is due to the role Zerto plays in enabling continuous availability of these regulated industries.
