Revenue of spindle motors for HDDs in FY15 represented 17,6% of revenue, vs. 19.8% in FY14

Net sales of spindle motors for HDDs decreased 18.2% to ¥45,520 million for this quarter compared to the former one. The decrease is 16% in number of units sold.

Net sales of these spindle motors for the fiscal year increased 1.9% to ¥207,974 million compared to the previous fiscal year and the number of units sold decreased approximately 10% compared to the previous fiscal year.

The company expects a 6% decrease in motors next fiscal year resulting of a forecasted 10% decline of the HDD market.
