Suchit Kaura VP Engineering, Coho Data

Coho Data, Inc., in scale-out flash storage for the modern enterprise, announced the appointments of Suchit Kaura to VP of engineering and Garry Olah to VP of business development.

Suchit Kaura is responsible for running Coho Data’s global engineering team across its U.S., Canada, U.K. and India offices, and building a high-performance, scale-out, enterprise NAS storage platform. With over two decades of experience in the clustering, storage and database space, he has served on numerous leadership teams building and driving revenue growth with products, including Oracle RAC, Isilon OneFS and Veritas Volume Manager. He was previously the senior director at EMC Isilon, director of parallel file systems at BlueArc and a manager at Asempra. He also served as an architect at Oracle as part of its RAC group and helped position Oracle Cluster File System (OCFS) in the market. He is a member of the Next Generation I/O (NGIO) Forum and the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) and has helped drive standards like parallel NFS (NFSv4.1 RFC) and IB. An innovator, he secured multiple patents for Cluster File Systems and storage concepts at Oracle and Isilon.

Garry Olah will build strategic relationships to enable the company to expand and grow. He is a seasoned enterprise software expert with over 20 years of executive business, marketing and sales experience who has advised start-ups and industry leaders on business development strategy and tactics when working with companies like Microsoft, Citrix, Oracle, SAP, NetApp, Dell, Intel and HP. Prior to joining Coho Data, he spent his career helping small companies grow to become large and successful through strategic alliances. Olah joined both BMC Software and Citrix in their early days and was able to leverage his relationships and his business development strategic approach to help grow these companies to over $1 billion in revenue.
