F-60/F-600 CFast 2.0 Flash Card From Swissbit

This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on November 17, 2015 at 3:15 pmSwissbit AG has introduced F-60/F-600 CFast 2.0 compatible cards, which deliver performance of up to 70,000 IO/s random R/W or 525MB/s sequential read and 350MB/s sequential write.
The F-60 cards are the first in the market to feature the latest Toshiba 15nm MLC-NAND technology, which enables advanced performance and extended lifecycle. The F-600 series featuring SLC (24nm SLC-NAND) is available.
With the added advantage of company’s firmware, which maximizes endurance and reliability, the latest cards are ideal for HDD drive or CompactFlash replacement in industrial, automotive and NetCom applications. In addition, full product qualification and lifetime support provide added assurance of robust performance in the field and long-term availability.
“Our F-60 and F-600 series are the new performance leaders among industrial CFast cards, and can be used as boot devices or removable media anywhere there is a need for small form factor and flawless reliability backed up by Swissbit quality, service and support,” said Grady Lambert, business unit manager, embedded storage product line, Swissbit.
Meeting the industry-standard CFast 36.4x 42.8×3.6mm form factor, and featuring a 6Gb SATA interface, the F-60 series is available in 8, 16, 30, 60, 120 and 240GB capacities. The cards operate from a 3.3V supply, drawing active power of 1.3W and less than 15mW in device-sleep mode.
Built-in features enhance reliability, including global wear leveling, active and passive data-care management, lifetime enhancement, and support for enterprise-grade S.M.A.R.T.. The Swissbit Life Time Monitor SBLtool and Software Development Kit (SDK) for SMART-based status monitoring is available. In addition, Advanced Host Controller Interface (AHCI) support simplifies control with Native Command Queuing using Windows, Linux or other OSs with native AHCI.
Company”s ATA security feature set, secure erase tools and optional AES256 encryption provide robust protection against unauthorized data access or tampering.
