Custom-Designed Storage System Using Omni-Path by DDN

DataDirect Networks, Inc. (DDN) announced the industry’s first custom Intel Corporation’s Omni-Path enabled storage architecture, Omni-Connect.

Omni-Connect enabled storage platforms deliver best cost and performance for the next generation of Web, cloud and HPC data intensive environments with the need for Omni-Path connectivity.

Working collaboratively with Intel, the company has designed converged and hyper-converged storage solutions to integrate seamlessly with Omni-Path fabrics. These company’s storage platforms are built on the high-performance SFA architecture, leverage company’s Infinite Memory Engine (IME) SSD acceleration software and utilize Omni-Connect to deliver a 10x reduction in cost/performance versus any competitive alternative.

Omni-Connect is for high node count web, cloud and HPC datacenters needing the ability to scale simply and cost-effectively. Omni-Connect enabled storage solutions are designed to integrate into data centers with existing Ethernet or IB infrastructures while simultaneously connecting with a Omni-Path fabric. HA, dual port design that delivers 2x more performance to compute, embedded application processors and storage than alternatives;
