As more and more critical business data resides in file-based formats, the importance of a DR orchestration solution that enables a cluster witness for the Isilon platform ensures more failure and recovery scenarios can be handled. The Isilon SyncIQ feature allows data from one cluster to be replicated to one or more target clusters to protect the data. Replicating the data is only part of the DR solution to achieve full recovery time targets.
The integration of Eyeglass Isilon Edition and Isilon with SyncIQ will enable customers to not only replicate data from one cluster to another, but also automate synchronization of configuration data and failover tasks. Leveraging Eyeglass, EMC customer’s can build highly available geographic application solutions with Isilon Scale Out NAS. Eyeglass Isilon Edition enables a robust multi cluster aware automation platform to maximize and simplify management of growing file based storage. As a Select partner in Technology Connect, Superna Eyeglass Isilon Edition will be available for purchase through EMC.
“By collaborating with EMC, Superna can deliver a complete, automated and integrated DR Orchestration solution for EMC Isilon SyncIQ customers. This powerful combination of Superna Eyeglass with Isilon SyncIQ will improve the simplicity and efficiency of DR Orchestration. This will result in less IT administration, and insure a more robust DR deployment that achieves RTO and RPO objectives,” said Michael Arno, CEO, Superna.
“EMC is pleased that Superna has joined Technology Connect as a Select partner, demonstrating its commitment to excellence in technology innovation for storage, DR, and much more,” said Don Lamburn, director technology connect program, EMC. “We look forward to working with Superna to ensure that our mutual customers have the highest level of support possible for their information infrastructure initiatives.“
