ShareBrowser is a unified file/project/asset management interface for OS X and Windows. It ties storage and project/media management into a single ‘pane of glass’ window, where editors can consolidate their interaction with storage quickly and conveniently, instead of floating among many different utilities to get work done. ShareBrowser enables teams to search across all EVO storage as well as local, offline, and other network disks. File metadata can be instantly added to the shared database, and users can more easily find, preview, tag, and share media assets and projects. In addition to Dropbox and Hightail, ShareBrowser now enables customers to incorporate Adobe CC, Box, and Microsoft OneDrive cloud-based services into their workflow.
“The Internet is no longer embraced just as a great delivery mechanism but also as a critical element of the modern content creation workflow. We’re very excited about this and other trends we’re seeing in the media industry, and we’re proud that EVO is helping to disrupt the status quo,” stated Eric Newbauer, VP, Studio Network Solutions. “With our latest release, EVO reinforces its position as a fully encompassing solution that combines the best of on-site high performance shared storage with the benefits of today’s leading cloud-based services.“
Together, EVO and ShareBrowser provide a workflow-centric experience with features like asset management and project/bin/media sharing functionality for video applications from Adobe, Apple, Avid, Autodesk, Assimilate, Blackmagic Design, and others.
EVO v.5.7 gives professional media creation teams flexibility with built-in NAS and SAN, more connectivity, more storage capacity, performance, and enhanced features like automatic project file locking, project/bin sharing, proxy previews, asset tagging, RAID-5/6, NAS quotas, LDAP, and cloud integration.
