The AccuSTOR AS224X12S and AS224X12R, 2U 24 bay 2.5″ small form factor 12G JBOD SAS expander rackmount with support of 2.5″ 12G SAS and SATA SSD and hard drives. Based on the AccuSTOR series, it connect to 12G SAS or SATA drives via one mini-SAS HD (SFF-8644) cable to the host bus adapter, and provide up to 48Gb/s or 4,800 MB/s per cable. The AS224X12S is a single upgrade-able with 3 mini-SAS HD connection while AS224X12R is dual redundant controller for dual path, high reliability application. 12G SAS expander provides over 3,000MB/s data transfer when directly connects to a RAID controller and can be daisy-chained to additional units, allows ‘pay as you grow’ model for storage hungry applications.

It support 3G/6G/12G SATA/SAS SSD and hard drives and include an array of standard features such as dual SAS channel, dual expansion mini-SAS slot and SGPIO support that enable the HBA controller to access real-time information regarding the AS224X6S and AS224X6R real time status, including each of the hard drives installed in the unit. The built-in SAS expansion port enables the system to connect up to 256 HDD drives daisy-chained together.

Optional bundled with 12G RAID controller card. The controller is designed with the high performance in mind with today’s computers architecture. The bundled options of 12G RAID controller card is based on PCIe 3.0×8, with dedicated 1.2 Dual Core RAID processor and DDR-3 ECC 1833 2GB memory. Complex RAID calculation is offload to the RAID controller to provide performance. Supported in Windows, Mac and Linux, along with virtual platform of Hyper-V and VMware, the 12G end to end solution can fit all performance hungry IT application or video production environment.

With the new 12G SAS expander products are including the support of 2.5″ products now, AS224X12S and AS224X12R provide instant building block for high speed storage network,” said by Stanley Chan, director of business development, Sans Digital.
