50% Increase in Customers for ArcMail
From 2010 to 2013
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on February 4, 2014 at 2:51 pmArcMail Technologies, Inc. achieved a banner year in 2013 with a 50% increase in customers since 2010.
Its archiving solutions are deployed by thousands of organizations across North America, providing scalable, flexible archiving that addresses e-discovery, compliance and information governance and search needs for businesses across a variety of markets.
ArcMail also earned industry recognition in 2013 including being named in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Information Archiving (EIA).
“By all accounts, ArcMail had an outstanding year, and in 2014 we will continue to focus on delivering the utmost in archiving innovation and customer service as we strive to give our customers the EIA solutions they want, the way they want them – whether it’s via an on-premise, virtual or hybrid cloud gateway appliance, or a fully-hosted solution,” said CEO Rory Welch.
ArcMail differentiates itself in the EIA market as a versatile archiving vendor, supporting multiple content types and deployment methods. Featuring a scope of on-premise, virtualized, hybrid and hosted archiving solutions, ArcMail allows organizations to archive all of their data in one secure, redundant archive, which is indexed and searchable. EIA offerings can be used for Office 365, Google Apps Gmail and other hosted email solutions, along with server-based email including Exchange, Lotus and GroupWise; instant messaging and social media data; Salesforce Chatter; SharePoint files; and other content types.
Product Innovation in 2013
In 2013, ArcMail brought new EIA solutions to market. Highlighting the year was the October launch of ArcMail Hosted Archiving (AHA), a fully-hosted, fully-managed archiving solution featuring ArcMail’s search functionality and one-click restore capabilities. With AHA, ArcMail empowers end users to focus on growing their businesses rather than managing their inboxes, thereby improving efficiency and performance. All archiving is automatic and all archived data is accessible to end users through a secure web browser. Because all business-critical data is securely encrypted, indexed and archived, organizations can meet regulatory or corporate compliance standards, quikly respond to e-discovery requests, and save thousands of dollars in potential fees or fines.
The ArcMail Social archiving solution was also an addition to the company’s product line in 2013. It is designed to help organizations protect, organize and quickly retrieve valuable social media data, and addresses the trend toward courts placing social media content in the same category as email with regard to regulatory compliance and e-discovery requirements.
Last year also marked the February launch of the Defender VM, designed to help IT managers optimize archiving in virtualized environments. It VM is available and offered in configurations ranging from 2 to 32TB of archived storage. Rounding out 2013, ArcMail also introduced next-generation hardware for its appliance-based archiving solutions, delivering increases in processing power, memory and storage capacity – all in a smaller footprint to conserve data center space.
Other ArcMail offerings include the Guardian, for reliable, secure and scalable archiving for hosted email platforms such as Google Apps Gmail and Office 365; and archiving solutions for Salesforce.com Chatter and SharePoint. The company also offers the Cloud/Storage Gateway, an hybrid cloud/network technology that enables businesses to designate whether they want to store their archive in the cloud, on local storage, or both, and take advantage of the cost savings that cloud storage provides.
