Sentry360 Unveils IP Video Surveillance Devices

Up to 24 cameras and 12TB of storage

Sentry360 Security Corp. announced their series of NVR devices that combine a server and smart network switch in one product – sentryEdge.

Sentry

It’s an ecosystem-driven appliance that allows for video management software options as well as storage options such as NAS, RAID, or other third-party systems. While IP video has struggled to replicate the plug-and-play legacy created by analog systems, this brings the ease-of-use one step closer to the integrator and the end-user alike. Designed for entry-level systems with the mini series, or enterprise deployments with the pro series, the unit provides a salable solution regardless of project size. All systems come with SSDs securing the OS for reliability, Intel processors ensuring speed and security, and high wattage PoE ports to allow for all camera types from Panoramic 360º/180º, PTZ, and Ultra HD surveillance cameras.

Each system comes pre-installed with sentryView configuration software, which allows users to automatically assign IP addresses, gateway, subnet, image quality and motion detection settings. Using the software, these settings can then be exported to the video management software of choice. It’s designed to make the configuration process a simple task and also allows for batch firmware updates to cameras as a maintenance tool.

We feel strongly that this is an exciting security industry channel product, meaning a distributor or installer can sell this edge device with confidence because of the detailed performance testing Sentry360 has committed to document and make public to the market,” said Thomas Carnevale, CEO, Sentry360, “We are so thrilled with sentryEdge and the solution that it offers to the world of IP video surveillance.

The solution is designed to make the installation of IP video surveillance easy with the software, or any of the other certified video management systems.

Our vision for sentryEdge was to not limit a user from using Ultra HD cameras along with Panoramic 360º/180º or even VGA resolution-if that’s what the project demands. Our list of supported partners will be growing throughout 2014 and beyond along with our commitment delivering an end-to-end solution with the freedom of choice,” stated Carnevale.

The mini series has ports for up to eight IP cameras with storage options of 1, 2 or 4TB. The Pro series has ports for 16-24 IP cameras with storage options of 2, 4, 8, or 12TB.
