Quantum Resold by Global Distribution

Quantum Corporation announced a partnership with The Global Distribution Group, a specialist distributor of storage and archive products for content creation and archive.

Global Distribution will market Quantum’s content workflow solutions to its network of EMEA system integrators and media and entertainment resellers.

The agreement spans Quantum’s entire range of big data products, including its StorNext file sharing and tiering software along with its portfolio of appliances such as StorNext metadata controllers, StorNext Q-Series Storage, Lattus object storage and StorNext AEL Archives. These products enable a digital workflow that helps broadcasters and post-production facilities store, manage, protect and monetize content. StorNext is also compatible with existing Apple Xsan installations and supports popular media asset managers and editing, finishing, ingest, transcode, and playout tools.

Global Distribution will also market Quantum’s Lattus-M which is an object storage solution that integrates into StorNext environments and leverages StorNext’s policy-based tiering. Lattus object storage enables nearline access to archived data across global locations in a scalable and cost-effective disk-based solution.
