BridgeHead Software Ltd announced
that Toronto’s Humber River Hospital, one of
Canada’s largest regional acute care hospitals and a long-time customer of
BridgeHead, has deployed BridgeHead’s Healthcare Data Management (HDM) solution
for Meditech Scanning and Archiving (SCA).
By adding SCA to its existing HCIS
and EMR backup, BridgeHead HDM has enabled Humber River to create a single,
centrally managed and protected archive for all its Meditech application
data.
"We have a variety of storage
equipment all working together in our environment with the capability for
different brands of storage to provide recovery of Meditech data,"
notes senior technical analyst at Humber River, Othman Khan. "BridgeHead’s single HDM platform for backup,
archive and DR makes this possible and has reduced our costs while providing
flexible recovery. Integrated archive is particularly critical, as it provides
us with a true healthcare data archive with quick backup and comprehensive
recovery."
At Humber River, Meditech SCA images are protected along with Meditech 6.0
data, using the integrated backup and archive capabilities provided by
HDM. In addition, corporate enterprise servers are also protected,
which eliminates the need for other backup software, along with the associated
maintenance contracts and training.
In this project, Humber River has
standardized protection
using following BridgeHead products:
- BridgeHead Integrated Serverless Backup (ISB).
- BridgeHead Integrated DR (IDR).
- BridgeHead HDM Solution for Meditech SCA.
