Sans Digital: AccuNAS “Half” 4U 4-Bay NAS + Backup Appliance

Sans Digital, Inc. announced a series of half 4U 4-bay NAS for automate backup to offline media, such as RDX or LTO tape.

The half 4U design allows two unit mount on a 4U height rack space for easy management in production or data center environment.

The series included three different models:

• AN4L+BBKU is the based model with support 4 HDDs and front and back USB 3.0 port to support any USB 3.0 storage device as data offload,
• AN4L+BRDX build with RDX docking station to support RDX media, and
• AN4L+BLT6 has LTO-6 drives to support low cost, high capacity LTO-6 media.

Automated Backup Strategies

• Consolidate data on the network and backup to LTO or RDX tape for offline storage
• Scheduled or on demand backup
• Up to 10 revision for RDX replication

Remote Backup for Two Locations

• Backup from one unit to another over the network
• Support over Internet/WAN network for remote backup location
• Bandwidth control, differential replication for slow network

Innovative half 4U design

• Optional rackmountable half 4U modules
• Support one or two unit in a 4U form factor
• Provide unit to unit backup in a 4U sizes
