that Alan Atkinson is VP and GM of Dell Compellent since Last May :

Formerly he served as chairman of Xio Storage. Before that, he was a VP at EMC Corp. Formerly he was at WysDM Software Inc. as CEO. From 2002 to 2008, he worked at StorageNetworks (the first storage service provider) where he was SVP of engineering and product marketing after leaving Goldman Sachs in 2002.

Atkinson holds a Master of Science degree in computer science from the University of Pennsylvania.
