Velobit HyperCache SSD Caching Software “430% Faster Than Competing Solutions”

VeloBit Inc., a provider of high-performance SSD caching software, announced that benchmarks conducted by Demartek, LLC, an independent company, have determined VeloBit HyperCache product to be the fastest and easiest SSD caching software.

Demartek evaluated both HyperCache software and a competing one from FlashSoft (acquired by SanDisk Corp.) in simulated enterprise environments. The evaluation, commissioned by VeloBit, included multiple tests on Linux and VMware systems using both PCIe and SATA SSDs. The tests measured performance using a range of industry benchmarks

HyperCache delivered the highest performance of any host-based SSD caching solution that Demartek ever tested. VeloBit increased performance , paired with SATA SSD, outperformed competing caching software paired with more expensive PCIe-based SSD.

Highlights include:

• Best performance of all SSD caching solutions that Demartek has tested
• 430% higher performance than FlashSoft/Sandisk, a competing SSD caching software solution
• 800% performance increase vs. disk in tests running TPCC in Linux environment
• 400% increase vs. disk in TPCC performance in VMware environment

• 83% reduction in cost/IOPS vs. disk
