Scale Computing Available From Ingram Micro in USA
Resellers sales rep can earn up to $1,000 per customer signed In Q4.

VARs and other solution providers can now purchase Scale storage products supported by Ingram Micro’s services offerings and as part of larger, more extensive IT solutions. To introduce its products to this new customer base, Scale is offering a spiff of up to $1,000 per net-new customer signed in Q4 2010.
Launched in the United States in 2007, Scale combines enterprise-level performance, ease-of-management and commodity hardware. The result is affordable, flexible and robust storage with a low total cost of ownership.
With company growth accelerated by an expanding storage market being driven by legislation such as HIPAA and Sarbanes-Oxley, as well as the move to server virtualization, Scale is also expanding its reach domestically and internationally. In addition to signing a U.S. distribution agreement with Ingram Micro, Scale recently moved into the Japanese and United European markets.
Affordable High-Performance Solutions
Scale’s latest product, the N05 StorageNode, offers 1.5 TB of storage capacity and features the company’s Intelligent Clustered Storage (ICS) technology. With a price point of $7,500, the N05 is the combination of low price and high performance to serve the virtualization, archiving and storage needs of small-to-medium businesses (SMBs).
With Scale’s N05 storage nodes, customers can purchase storage as needed, use SAN and NAS in the same cluster at the same time, and control storage with a web-based user interface. The N05 includes many of the same enterprise-class features as the S and Performance lines (R Series) of products, including replication and multipathing, as well as scalability.
Reseller Spiff for Q4
Sell Scale clusters of any model to three new customers in a single quarter, the sales rep(s) who sold the Scale products will receive $500 per new customer. If the company sells Scale clusters of any model to six new customers in a single quarter, the sales rep(s) who sold the Scale products will receive $1,000 per new customer.
Example Payments
- Three new customers: $1,500 payment
- Five new customers: $2,500 payment
- Six new customers: $6,000 payment
Participation in this program and spiffs will be paid based on your company’s SPIFF policy. All payments will occur within thirty days of the quarter’s closing. SPIFF is paid on new customers to Scale Computing only. The new N05 Starter Cluster is exempt from this SPIFF.
