Mark Lewis CSO for Information Infrastructure Products Business, EMC

Rick Devenuti replaced him as president of information intelligence group.

EMC Corporation announced that Mark Lewis has been named Chief Strategy Officer within EMC’s Information Infrastructure Products (IIP) Business and Rick Devenuti has been appointed President, EMC Information Intelligence Group (IIG), a business unit within EMC’s IIP Business.

In this new role as Chief Strategy Officer,  emc_lewis_devenuti Lewis will leverage his experience across EMC and the technology industry to help EMC customers accelerate their journey to the private cloud. As part of this role, Mark will lead a new ventures group for IIP, focusing on expanding EMC’s West Coast presence and identifying new opportunities for EMC.

emc_lewis_devenuti_2 Devenuti, who has served as IIG’s Chief Operating Officer for the past two years, will step into the role of President for the business unit, the position formerly held by Lewis for the past three years. Devenuti’s focus will be driving customer satisfaction, pursuing innovation with EMC’s content solutions and complementary partners, and continuing to move the business forward.

Lewis and Devenuti will both report into Pat Gelsinger, President and Chief Operating Officer, EMC Information Infrastructure Products. Both executive appointments are effective immediately.

Lewis has been with EMC since 2002 and has held several prominent roles within the company including chief technology officer and chief development officer during which time he also formed EMC’s Technology Ventures Group and the EMC Innovation Network. Before joining EMC, he was with Hewlett-Packard/Compaq where he served as vice president and general manager of Compaq’s Enterprise Storage Group.

Devenuti joined EMC in 2008 following a successful 19-year career at Microsoft Corporation. Most recently, he had served as senior vice president of Microsoft Services and IT, and served four years as chief information officer.
