Start-Up MemoRight From China, Yet Another Flash SSD Maker
Apparently with an excellent technology
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on December 4, 2007 at 12:55 pmMemoRight has launched its 2.5" 64GB Solid State Disk (SSD ). This new
drive comes in a standard 2.5-inch size and has an PATA interface which
means it can be used in most notebook computers and mainstream PCs just
like a regular hard drive. . Their R& D manager stated that they utilize
the latest high-density single level cell (SLC) NAND flash memory chips
to deliver 100M Bytes/sec sustained read and 100M Bytes/sec write
transfer rates – which is the fastest throughput in a currently
available 2.5” Flash SSD, random access performance IOPS is more than
15,Appaently000-that is typically 5x faster than a hard disk drive.
In addition, the Demo SSD has built-in ECC (Error Correction Code)
functionality that ensures highly reliable data transfer and increases
system’s overall integrity. Built-in wear leveling technology also
ensures ultra-long lifespan and data-retention durability for prolonged
use. With no moving parts, absolutely no noise is generated from the
SSD, and much less power is needed for operation, which means less heat
is generated as well. The 2.5-inch PATA/SATA SSD is currently available
in 8GB, 16GB, 32GB and 64GB capacities and its 1.8" and 3.5" models
will be coming soon.
