Scalable NAS From Avere for Google Cloud Platform

$0.013/hour pricing per virtual CPU accessing scalable file system provided by Virtual FXT

Avere Systems, Inc. announced the availability of its Virtual FXT Edge filers on Google Cloud Platform.

With this collaboration, customers are able to move compute intensive workloads and large data sets to Google Cloud Platform while keeping their data in existing on-premises resources, without making any sacrifices to performance.

Virtual FXT Edge filers are already having an impact for Google Cloud Platform customers, providing complete flexibility and nimbleness for organizations to store their data and run their applications on-premises or in the cloud, while delivering low latency and high performance. Company’s Edge filer technology is simple to install and manage, provides NAS functionality (including NFS and SMB/CIFS) and clusters to deliver HA, scalable performance and capacity.

The Virtual FXT on Google Cloud Platform is available and can be purchased from the company and authorized resellers.

Avere pricing scales with the size of the compute infrastructure deployed in Google Compute Engine.

End-user pricing is $0.013/hr per virtual CPU accessing the scalable file system provided by the Virtual FXT.

The company’s software is sold in addition to the cost of Google Compute Engine instances.
