… And Acquires Eversync
To offer complete data protection platform for enterprises and channel
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on June 6, 2014 at 2:34 pmInfrascale, Inc. has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Eversync Solutions Inc., provider of cloud-connected, on-premise data protection appliances.
With this acquisition, Infrascale extends its data protection platform to include support for the growing list of OSs, servers and devices critical for corporate computing.
The Infrascale platform offers private cloud, public cloud and hybrid computing environments – all of which now support virtually any OS. The combined technology of Infrascale and Eversync create a complete platform for data protection (including DR, archiving and backup) across mobile devices, workstations, and all forms of servers, physical and virtual.
Enterprise data is projected to grow to 20,000EB in 2020 according to an IDC report – creating a need for more flexible and complete data protection solutions. Despite constant innovation in the industry, few vendors can provide the full spectrum of an on-premise, cloud or hybrid solution for servers, endpoints and mobile devices. With the addition of Eversync Solutions’ technology, Infrascale expands its infrastructure options for channel partners and customers seeking a complete data protection solution.
“Too often vendors try to force a single point solution into every computing environment, rather than collaborating with partners to design a product platform that works for customers with broad computing requirements,” said Glen Zucker, CEO, One IT, Inc. “We rely on Infrascale for a data protection platform because they listen and address our customers’ needs. The acquisition of Eversync Solutions underscores Infrascale’s commitment to address additional computing environments. With this combined solution, we can eliminate third-party applications that we previously used to deliver data protection in unique operating environments.”
“There are countless roadblocks associated with deploying a complete data protection platform,” said Ken Shaw Jr., founder and CEO, Infrascale. “These challenges can range from funding the CAPEX associated with purchasing each point solution to budgeting for bulging OPEX costs associated with managing and scaling disparate solutions and training users. Infrascale’s mission is to eliminate the complexity and offer a scalable, unified platform capable of supporting multiple device types, file formats and OSs. The Eversync acquisition simply extends our lead in delivering complete, data protection for any device, anywhere.”
