Sans Digital AccuRAID AR316IS With 16 Bays

Sans Digital announced the AccuRAID AR316IS, a quad-port GbE iSCSI 3U-16 RAID protected rackmount storage solution designed to be integrated to any IP SAN or be used as dedicated storage for servers or workstations via convention Ethernet network infrastructure.



The AR316IS also provides HA feature including dual hot-swappable power supplies and cooling fans standard ensuring a continuous operation.

Utilizing the ultra fast SCSI protocol over conventional Ethernet network enables businesses and organizations alike to set up performance IP SAN using the existing network infrastructure without the need to invest on new expensive IT equipments such as expensive FC switch and adapters.

It is capable of delivering performance of up to 400MBps / 100K IOPS in full-duplex mode and can be integrated into a SAN or be used as a dedicated storage for special application server. It allows the IT administrator to place the AR316IS on any Ethernet network accessible location without the need to have the server physically next to the storage unit but still gain fast data transfer rate lowering the TCO.

Using the SCSI protocol over IP network to transfer data in blocks along with MPIO support to aggregate network bandwidth enables the AR316IS for a faster data transfer rates compared to XFS or EXT network shared volumes.

It offers a connectivity between the AR316IS storage unit and its host computer/server including VMs such as VMware Vsphere / ESX / ESXi, Citrix XGen, and Mircosoft.

It also provides built-in hardware snapshot function to replicate numerous point-in-time data that can be recovered at anytime without interrupting production and the need for additional licensing cost of backup software.
