IBM XIV Gen3 Software V11.1.1 Supports 1TB Raw Capacity per Drive

In addition to 2TB and 3TB

IBM Corp.'s XIV Storage System Gen3 Software V11.1.1 supports 1TB raw capacity per drive in addition to the current 2TB and 3TB capacity options.

Version 11.1.1 also complies with USGv6 requirements. Since July 1st 2010, USGv6 certification is mandated for all products bought by any US government agency, as part of the transition to IPv6. Version 11.1.1 has been USGv6-certified by the University of New Hampshire Interoperability Laboratory, and is also integrated with Microsoft System-Center Virtual Machine Manager (SCVMM) 2012.

XIV versions 11.1.x and 10.2.x have been certified for VMWare Site Recovery Manager (SRM) 4.1 and 5.x compliance.

Key prerequisites:
An order of a validly configured XIV Storage System Gen3 machine type 2810 or 2812, model 114 must occur at the same time as an initial IBM Storage System Software V11.1.1 order.
