Key Metric Software, LLC has released FolderSizes 6, the last generation of its disk space analysis software tool for Windows.

A primary focus of FolderSizes 6 is the new Trend Analyzer tool, allowing organizations to understand how disk space usage is changing over time. Reports contain a information, including snapshot history, folder history by size, folder history by file count, top subfolder growth, and disk history by used space.

It also introduces a new File Type Groups report, providing perspective on which general file types are consuming the most disk space on one or more target file systems. Users can customize existing file type groups or create new ones to suit their needs.

Also new is Network Share Discovery, allowing to find and analyze shares on remote servers and NAS. Network share discovery has been integrated into FolderSizes, including support within the command line and task scheduler interfaces.

Other new features include built-in PDF export support, hard link tracking, ribbon bar customization, task scheduler improvements, a unified 32/64 bit product installer, and more.

FolderSizes offers a free, 15-day trial download, with license pricing starting at $55.00 USD for a single-user license.
