CMO Michael McGuire left the company.
Nexsan Corp. announced that storage industry veteran Michael Peterson has been added as Advisor to the Nexsan Board of Directors.
In his role Michael will be providing direction on corporate strategy and positioning to the Board and Nexsan's CEO, Philip Black.
A luminary of the storage industry who founded the Storage Network Industry Association (SNIA), Peterson is a network storage and system I/O industry spokesperson and leader with 38 years of experience in the storage, software and systems industries.
As CEO of Strategic Research Corporation, he is known as the senior market and business development consultant in the storage and datacenter infrastructure industry, influencing a range of storage companies from start-ups to industry stalwarts. He sits on Advisory Boards and Boards of Directors and continues to volunteer in support of SNIA.
In support of a growing number of hybrid storage system installations globally, Nexsan is also evolving its sales, marketing, and operations infrastructure to address the needs of end-users and channel partners. Michael McGuire, former chief commercial officer for Nexsan, has announced his departure for a senior position at one of the world's largest computer companies. Nexsan and industry veteran Walter Palhetas has been appointed EVP of AAP, Marketing, and Operations, and will report to Black. Also reporting to Black is EVP of EMEA Andy Hill.
"We wish Michael McGuire the best in his new opportunity and thank him for his significant contributions over the past several years," said Black. "I also welcome Michael Peterson as an invaluable addition to the company. He has been a driving force in the storage industry and will be a true asset to our organization."
