Microtech Systems: X3 Disc Duplication System

"It's exciting to bring a new design to life," said Don McMahan, EVP of Microtech Systems. "We are extremely pleased to be able to incorporate the characteristics of our legacy production systems with a new hardware architecture to deliver incredible positioning for applications from entertainment and healthcare to data storage and software delivery. The reseller community in particular has really been waiting for a product like this."
The entry point for the 300 disc system with the K2 Thermal Re-transfer, photo quality printer (a dye-sublimation disc printer) will be under $13,000. With the Microtech Xpression single color black thermal printer the system will be under the $11,000 price point.
The X3 will feature a 4 spindle delivery system, a choice of 3 recording drives from CD, DVD to Blu-ray Disc and also includes an embedded Intel based PC running the Windows 7 OS for network or standalone operation.
The robotics from the Xpress family is integrated as well as a new optional 'mail slot' output chute with 20-disc capacity. The unit features a locking glass door and status light bar on top with a choice of either the K2 photo printer or the black only output of the Microtech Systems Xpression printer.
An ImageAligner 3 camera can also be added for production using pre-printed media. The heart of the system is the network software solution, ImageMaker, the same production software used on the family of disc publisher systems.
The company will add the X3 to their line of Microtech Systems Xpress products, the automated robotic disc publishing systems with integrated printing options, 200-800 disc capacities, embedded Intel based Windows 7 PC servers, and the Microtech disc publishing software including a complement of API integration options.
The X3 publishing system is available from Microtech Systems and all authorized reseller partners.
