$4.4 billion in sales for the year, up 15%

Hitachi Data Systems reported its financial results for its fourth quarter (Q4FY11) and the year ending March 31, 2012.

Highest revenues in company history
Consolidated revenues for FY11 at $4.443 billion U.S. dollars, up 15% from FY10*
On yen basis, ¥351 billion for FY11, up 9% Y/Y (exchange rate of ¥79.08 per $) from ¥322 billion
Hitachi Content Platform** grew in the high sixties Y/Y
Hitachi NAS Platform** grew in the high thirties Y/Y

Highest revenue for fourth quarter in HDS history*
Consolidated revenues (HDS + Japan) at $1.135 billion, up 9% Y/Y
On a yen basis, ¥90 billion in the fourth quarter, up 3% Y/Y (exchange rate of ¥79.28 per $)

Americas revenues grew 16%
EMEA revenues grew 6%
APAC** revenues grew 3%
Approximately 55% in hardware, 15% in software and 30% in services (consolidated revenues)
